Broward Camera Club’s Competition Guidelines

 The categories for competitions are 2 in Assigned category and 6 in Open.  Computer generated images should be entered in the Open-Category.  ALL images in both categories may be manipulated.  Of the up to 6-entries in the open category, only the top 3 scores will be used for year end totals.  When only 3 entries are in competition in the open category, all three scores will be counted toward year-end totals.

 Prints should be a minimum of 8" x 10" and be matted.

The Broward Camera Club now includes a monthly projected digital competition. 
Note the changes: Projected Digital Competition: If you plan to enter the Projected Digital Competition please e-mail your images to Jerry Friedland at JFriedland415@comcast.net no later than 4 pm on the day before the competition. Images should be e-mailed as an ATTACHMENT to the e-mail and the SUBJECT LINE should read BCC Month Year i.e. BCC Feb 2010. Projected images will no longer be accepted at the meeting location on the night of the meeting. If you are not familiar with the competition guidelines, please consult the web site.
Note New Meeting Times: Social from 7:00 to 7:30 pm. Meeting begins at 7:30 pm.  Veterans Park has issued a notice that the park will close promptly at 9:00 pm, Monday to Friday as of October 1, 2008.

If you do not have access to the Internet for sending in your images, you must submit prints at 7:00 pm on the night of the competition.  Monthly scores will be accumulated.

 Entering the Competition:  Submit up to 8-images; 2 on the assigned subject and up to 6 in the open section.  

 Image Titles:
Please name the files that contain your photo for the competition as follows:
             First character an upper case (capitol) "A" (for assigned) or "O" (for open).

Second character 1 through 6 starting with 1 - the number will determine the sequence in which your photo is shown. 

For example: all entries beginning with A1 will be shown first; next those beginning with A2; etc.

Next a dash (-) followed by your last name and your initials if you have a common last name.

Next another dash (-) followed the name of your photo (see examples below).

Finally, the file should be in the JPEG file format and therefore, the name of the file should end in ".jpg".
